About Lighty Construction
OUR STORY
Lighty Construction was started in 1958 by Wayne Lighty on a small farm in Fairmount, IN.
After pre-dawn chores were done, off to work he would go with his 8-year-old twin sons Donnie and Denny.
Wayne is a genuine craftsman in remodeling and new home construction with attention to the smallest detail. He taught his boys the importance of doing things right the first time.
In 1978 Don left home to attend college in Oklahoma. He met his wife and they married in 1983 and raised his family in Arcadia, OK where they still live. In the late 70s and early 80s, during the oil boom, Don worked as a skilled trim carpenter in Oaktree and other upscale housing additions.
Don opened up Lighty Roofing and Construction in 1987 with a focus on commercial roofing. After his dad died in 1999, he changed his company name to Lighty Construction LLC in honor of his late father.
